Less is More: Using Alignment to Streamline Learning Design Workshop In-Person / Online

Workshop Description

When there’s too much content, students—and instructors—can lose focus. This session explores how aligning learning outcomes, assessments, and teaching activities can lead to more efficient and effective course design. Situated in the Design and Development phases of the ADDIE model, the workshop introduces the concept of constructive alignment and offers practical strategies for reducing content while sharpening the focus on what matters most.

Participants will work with course mapping tool to align one learning outcome with a targeted assessment and learning activity, gaining a concrete starting point for simplifying and strengthening their own course design.
