External Drivers of Curriculum Innovation Workshop In-Person / Online

Workshop Description

What’s changing in your field—and how should that shape what and how we teach? This workshop explores how external insights, including labour market trends and peer program data, can inform meaningful course design and development. Anchored in the Analysis phase of the ADDIE model, we’ll examine how to use education and career planning tools to align learning experiences with real-world needs and student goals.

Participants will engage in hands-on exploration of current data and trends, reflect on shifts in their discipline, and consider how these insights can inform course-level adaptations.

Learning Outcomes

  • Through active participation in this workshop, individuals will be able to:
    • use the Find My Path resource to explore competitor programs in context, and
    • describe how labour market information can be used as part of the instructional design process.
