CTL Learning Symposium Welcome/ Check-In In-Person

Welcome to the First Annual Centre for Teaching and Learning Symposium

We are honored to welcome you to the inaugural Centre for Teaching and Learning Symposium — a gathering dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in teaching and learning across our institution.

We begin this meaningful day in a good way, with a traditional welcome from a respected Elder, grounding our gathering in Indigenous knowledge and teachings. We are grateful to the Indigenous drummers who will share their powerful songs and bring spirit to our opening ceremony, reminding us of the importance of community, respect, and connection to land and culture.

Following this, we are pleased to welcome opening remarks from our President and our Vice President of Academics, whose leadership and vision continue to shape and support a vibrant, inclusive academic community.

This symposium marks the beginning of a new tradition — a space where educators come together to share insights, collaborate ideas, and explore new pathways in teaching and learning. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Please be aware that this event, speakers, and participants may be recorded by our CTL team.
