Ai Sandbox Series: NotebookLM for Organizing and Synthesizing Knowledge In-Person

This hands-on series is intended for faculty who already know the basics of generative AI and want to explore practical, ethical ways to use it in teaching and learning. Each session focuses on one tool, with time to experiment, discuss, and reflect on how the tool can be used in teaching and learning. Bring your laptop, and pop into one session or join us for the whole series!

NotebookLM helps learners review and connect course content. For instructors, it can serve as a hub to organize materials and generate teaching resources. To use NotebookLM, participants require a Google account. Bring 1-3 digital course resources you can upload.

During this session, participants will:

  • Upload and organize materials into NotebookLM
  • Create one teaching resource from their materials
  • Reflect on how students might use NotebookLM responsibly
